MagnFlow Break-In

This thing better break-in!

I had a Magnaflow 15739 SIDO kit on my 99 5.4 and I liked it. It was borderline too quiet, but overall I was very pleased with it. On my 02 I just had a Magnaflow stainless muffler put on with a turndown directly after the muffler-no tailpipes out the back. I figured it would be a little louder this way. If I wasn't watching them put the muffler on, I'd say the left the stock one on there! What gives? It is slightly deeper at tip-in throttle but after that I can't tell a difference at all over stock. It is also hard to tell when idling outside the cab. I didn't want it to be super loud, but I wanted to be reminded that I have a V-8 in there!

How much can I expect this thing to break in? Very little I am guessing. Anyone else feel the same way?

I had Magnaflows on my Marauder. They were subtle at first. after about 1-200 miles, they were LOUD!! So loud they droned inside the car. Too much for the wife and kids, so I swapped out for the Ford Duel Mode mufflers. I am very happy.
