How can I get the perfect sound from a 5.4?

I have an 02 s crew 5.4L FX4 and I was just wondering how I could achieve a good, loud, but not too loud exhaust note, with just the right tone, not too growly, but surely not too wimpy...any suggestions, I was thinkin some ceramic coated headers and a flowmaster V series like I had on my crappy, but good sounding 95 chev Z71 350 ci (the truck is now gone, i completely cooked the engine, then drove it for a month!!!)

Sounds to me like you want a Magnaflow! Really, I'm not jumping on the bandwagon here, I bought one last week, and I love it. What you really need to do is hear some different exhausts on your model truck. I don't think soundclips on the internet are really all that great. Here's a link to my new exhaust review .

Try a Flowmaster 40 series Delta Flow, with a set of Gibson, or BBK Headers.

I'd say Flowmaster Super 40 and JBA headers.

Flow Master. Thats all you need. I choose 50 Series, HD flowmasters. Has a just the right amount of sound and fill, yet it is not overwheming. Check this site out and listen for yourself.
