Did I Lose Power???

I went ahead and put a full flowmaster cat back exhaust with 3" pipes all the way back to a single chamber flowmaster exhaust/.

I have a 5.4 l v8 with a K&N intake and and edelbroc throttle body. so iff you can tell me i would appreciate it.

i really like the sound and i just want to know if i ****ed myself over on the power

power loss

I have a 4.6 v8 & I was previously warned in the forum that a 3" is too much flow & not enough back pressure. That's all I know of.

You still have factory cats and pipe to there correct? If so, you're not loosing anything. I have dual 3 inch on a 5.4 and all I heard was you'll loose low end torque, but mine makes full torque by 2800RPM and rides it all the way to 4000 before begining to fall off.

I had a 3 inch SI/SO with a 1-chamber IMCO (identical to the Flowmaster) and I
lost torque compared to my Magnaflow. So yes, you probably did. Now the Flowmaster guys won't believe it, but I bet throwing a Magnaflow muffler on there will yield better torque than a comparable Flowmaster. Let the flaming begin.

I'll concede that, its with. One thing though, I had this exhaust on before the blower for several weeks and I found an increase of 1.5-2MPG average and there was no noticable loss felt, although I didn't run out and dyno it till the blower came into play.

And, I think the magnafart sounds like dirty chit as well.
