The stock cats flow pretty well. They are fine unless one uses forced induction.

Use dual 2.5" pipes if you have a 5.4L or 2.25" pipes if you have the 4.6L.

Use an x-pipe or a muffler that has one built in.

Actually, that was the second time I ever welded. I didn't consider it that bad for a rook. I only had two leaks, both of them were on the top of the muffler on each side. I got a mirror and checked them and nixed the problem. I think most of the issue was that I had about 8 hours to do it with no time to spare, as I was departing for a trip at 5 that afternoon and had just started at 8:30 that morning. And I was doing about half the bending, never used a bender before either.

And yes, it is wicked and loud as chit!
