Hi. I'm new to the world of upgrading trucks because i just got my first one and i am only 14. I know some good brands of some exhaust companys but dont know which model of exhaust or what brand to get. i want to get something thats loud, but not too loud. something with just a low growl type. like maybe glass packs or something. I have no idea what to do. any ideas?

 

What kinda truck ya got and engine size? 4.2L V-6 / 4.6L V-8 / 5.4L V-8?
How much are you willing to spend? Do you want a full cat-back or just replace the muffler? Do you want to do headers,converters, y-pipe?

 

its a '94 f-150 4.6l v6. I was thinking of just getting a muffler for now and then putting tips on it. i will probably put headers and all the other good stuff on it later.

 

I know where your coming from , I'm 15, almost 16, but with a v6 they can't really get loud, but honeslty, I'd just run straight pipes..

yeah, ford makes a 4.6. my brother has a mustang with a 4.6 v8.

 

my 05 has a 4.6 v-8, Ford doesn't make a 4.6 v-6, possibly a 5.0 v-8? or 4.9L inline 6? In 1994 all they put in their trucks were 5.0L V-8, 4.9L inline 6, 5.8L v-8, so unless you have put another engine in, you have one of those

lol I would guess the 4.9 also... I like my borla, but I dont know if they make one for that motor. V6's are hard to get to sound good...
