YOU JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT WILL FIT ON YOUR TRUCK. IF YOU GO TO http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...44&cat=F%2D150 YOU CAN SEE WHAT WILL FIT YOUR TRUCK.

NOTE: THERE ARE INITIALS STATING WHICH ONES WILL FIT YOUR TRUCK. LIKE FOR MY TRUCK IT IS A 2005 SCREW (SUPERCREW) SHORT BED. SO THE INITIALS WOULD BE 4.6L/5.4L V-8, EC-CC/SB (EC= Extended Cab, CC= Crew Cab, AND SB= Short Bed.

AS FAR AS DO ANYTHING TO THE VEHICLE, IT FREES UP THE EXITING GAS TO FLOW FASTER OUT. IN RETURN, YOU GET ALITTLE INCREASE IN HP AND ALITTLE INCREASE IN MPG. BUT YOU MAY LOSE IT DUE LOVING THE SOUND AND WANTING TO HEAR IT MORE AND MORE!!!!!!!

Well I just went with a Magnaflow 16616 from performance peddlers for $378. I love that look of it kicking out in front of the back tire. Should keep relatively clean since the tips catch alot of dirt behind the tire. I'm just hoping my factory running boards don't get in the way.

For those of you that have installed the Magnaflow, have you checked your gas mileage? Did it help? Thanks

Wow that's alot to ask. I drive my truck like these kids drive their mustangs. Hopefully today I can keep my mind on the throttle to measure the mileage. I'll be using my Edge to track my 15 minute drive to work to figure the average.

Back in June I had my Magnaflow system put on while I was at a buddies house in Indiana. Shop was in Lafayette. SIDO muffler (got satin not polished), pipes, hangers, rolled polished tips, labor and tax was $362 and some change. Loooooooove the sound of it...very nice growl under acceleration and pretty much nothing while idling or cruising the highway, until I get in the throttle again that is!

There are sound files on the Magnaflow site but I don't think they are for a 4.6.

Run a search on this site. Several members have posted sound clips in the past.
