most "custom" exhausts are vastly inferior to boxed systems. why? most shops use crimp bent. my fresh steaming **** on a stick is worth more than a crimp bent system. make sure your shop uses mandrel bends, inspect them visually for smooth, continuous diameter bends because many exhaust shops are VERY shady and will give you crimp despite your specifications

the original flowmaster 40/american thunder is the loudest. the delta flow 40 has a different tone but is the equivalent volume of the 50 series. the super 40 is very deep but as quiet as the 50

they sound good but all suck for power gains. keep that in mind

i dont really care about the power gains....ill have 4.56 gears in and a edge evo on this week also. the american thunder being the loudest....but is it REAL loud? i mean ive heard many 40 series.....just dont know what version they were. i dont want something real loud. but loud enough to hear me comiing and know its a big truck you know what i mean? and of course a nice idol sound. how quiet is the 50 series???

crimp bending will impede power. 4.56s and an evo wont save you when your exhaust cant exit properly

i would recommend the super40 for your needs. its deeper than the other 40s and has the mean sound. its definitely a manageable sound you can hear from a bit aways that wont kill you inside

o i agree with the crimp bending i was saying that in conjunction with you saying "keep in mind they all sound good but all suck at power gains"

i just listened to sound clips of all three.......i dont like the super 40.....theres something to the idol sound i dont like at all.....i think im going to go with the delta flow. the american thunder is 2 loud for me.

looks like the delta flow and the tips will cost $92 for my delta flow....and like $110 for 2 of the oval/sqaure tips or like $72 for the other tips.

how much does piping and like installation cost?? much?
