Finally decided to put a 15609 on my 2001 but can't get the old exhaust loose at the catalytic converter extension. Since I don't have access to a torch is my best bet just to take it to a shop and have them install it?

Any suggestions?

 

Take the exhaust off all the hangers and move the exhaust up down and left right until connection loosens at conv. Failing that try peice of 4x4 or 2x4 wood on flat part of muffler and beat with small sledge hammer towards rear of vehicle.Hope this helps
