I have been reading all the old posts about exhausts and I am really torn between which exhaust to go with. I want to either get the flowmaster 40 si/do or the magnaflow si/do. I am looking for an exhaust thats going to be loud and at the same time one thats not going to rust out in a yr. Please give me some suggestions. Also, does adding a 4in tip instead of a 3 make a big difference in the sound. Thanks.

 

Well if you've been reading as much as you say you should know cause this ? is asked and answered all the time. If you want loud, get the Flows or just forget the muffler all together and do str8 pipes. If you're concerned about rust then you have to get stainless steel. 3" or 4" tips won't make much difference in the sound. I went from a 2.25" tip to a 3" and never noticed a difference in the sound, only in the way it looks. "I like big tips and I can not lie". I have the Flows SIDO with 3" piping all the way from the Y pipe. Loud? yeah, I can set off car alarms.
