Will it be crackly?

Right now I am running no muffler duals out the back. I want to gut all 4 cats and switch to hi-flows, but I dont want it to make my truck sound str8 pipe crackly. I just want it louder? What will happen when i switch to hi-flows?

After i gutted my two pre cats, my sound is louder, but also more bumpy, kinda bubbly. I wouldnt call it crackling, but i think you get the idea. I think to not have the unwanted sounds, you need to not gut the cats, but actually replace the piece with a straight pipe that matches the diameter of the pipe

No replace the actual Catilist housing with a straight pipe.

No, the sound crackles b.c the pressure builds up inside the cat housing. Thats why mine sounds more bubbly, then before i gutted, b.c the pressure builds and releases constantly, instead of just flowing straight on out the back of the truck.
