whats up guys. my buddy has a 2004 f150 xlt and it is making a ticking noise from underneath the truck i have talked to a couple a people and they say it might be a leak in the exhaust, the ford service center says its a normal sound. i just wanted to ask you guys what you think it might be. thanks for your time fellas

 

could be busted manifold bolt. but you have 2004 right?i think they fixed that problem by then. is it loud at start up after sitting a few hours? i have a 97 i had 2 broken bolts. that loud ticking drove me crazy.you are gonna have to check all the bolts.take off the inner splash shield and you can get a good look
