banks vs.. magnaflow

I am about ready to get exhaust for my 06 screw 4x4 5.4.

I want a fairly quiet in cab ride. but a low mean sound outside when you get on it. I was going to go with the banks monster, but a lot of people say magnaflow is pretty sweet. If you have any input on this please help me out.

I've never seen or heard a Banks in person, but I'm sure they're good systems. I'm kinda partial to Magnaflow. The Mag has a low rumble at idle and cruising, but wakes up when you get on it.

The banks is louder than the magnaflow is..

I have the magnaflow and my buddy has the banks on his truck, so experienced both.

I would say the banks is a little Deeper of rumble and louder when you get on, but that comes with a price. It has more drone in the cab at crusing speeds than the magnaflow does..

Nope i wouldnt really say annoying.. As its not a loud annoying drone, its more of a constant humm in the background.. Yes you can defentially hear it, but its kind of a constant humm.. However if you want a quiter ride like stock while crusing the freeway i defentially recommend magnaflow.

banks vs. magnaflow

I have banks on my truck and it has very little noise in the cab, but sound mean out the rear end. So if your not worried about the cost I would go with banks, plus it is stainless steel, and it is easy to put on yourself.

Don't have any experience with Banks, but you won't go wrong with the Magnaflow according to what you're looking for...It's quiet in the cab when you're cruising, and it really comes to life when you mash on the gas...

I have the Banks Monster exhaust and I recommend it. It has very little drone and is quite quiet unless you stomp on it, then ir roars. The choice is yours. You won't go wrong with either choice.

i just had the banks monster put on yesterday. duals out the back. sounds great. my truck sounds like a truck now instead of a compact sedan. i was going to swap out the stock cats for highflow cats as well but i decided to do it in stages so i could see how i liked it just changing the muffler. cruising around town you can hear it in the cabin a little but i wanted that. others may not. but cruising on the highway i really can't hear anything. bad for me but good for my passengers (wife and kids). i'd like it a little louder but swapping the cats may make the interior cabin volume too much. (if i was single and childless i would do it in a heartbeat).

i will probably do an AF1 and XCAL2 next so that may increase the exhaust tone enough for me to keep the stock cats on there. all in all i am happy with my choice of banks over magnflow.

Just flip a coin man. I'm sure you'd be happy with either one. They are both good products.
