ic, well how come its not shown on there site.. ive looked at there little chart they have that shows the mufflers, from loudest to quietest.. and i see the 40 series, and i was under the impression that, that was loudest, but i had heard that the 50 was louder..

also i wanna keep it legal for now.. and also is there any difference in doin the pipes angled behind the tires, or straight back, and also what size tips you go with, like could you go with a 5 inch tip?

10 series is under racing section. sorry to hijack, but do you think it would be better to have two 10 series muffles, or one dual in dual out 10 series muffler?

The 10 series will kepp you legal. As far as the pipes it's personal preference. My last truck were straight out the back. This truck has them 45 at the corners. I like big tips, but anything bigger than 4" looks goofy to me. I have 4"x18". I wanted 22" but wasn't sure they would fit. I now a guy who has 6" tips. They're huge, you can almost stick your head in it.

Yeah the 50 series is not loud at all...i had one on for a couple weeks cause someone gave me one in good shape for free. I was like damn i can only hear this thing if i really step on it. I switched to the original 40 and at first I thought that was pretty loud. Now I'm already used to it and I'm considering doing true duals with either straight pipes or racing/bullet style mufflers in the future. If you want loud go with the 10 series...but they don't make single in dual out ones....so if you wanted 2 i think you'd have to run true duals.

the single chamber race muffler will more than likely be the loudest. i have the 40 series and love them. nice rumble at idle and it soulds like a truck when i get on it. FWI i love your truck man. i've been saving up for a set of those rims and have been curious as to what they would look like on an all black truck. now i know. great looking truck!!!!

The original 40 series has a great sound. I recently installed a single in dual out original 40 series on my f-150 and it sounds great. I wish I had pulled the rear cat's, but no complaints at all with the sound. It does have a lot of interior resonance but I wouldn't trade all the compliments for the world.

BTW....I see you have a 4.6l v8, you will love the flowmaster 40's on that motor, and you'll see an awesome improvement with the exhaust teamed with an edge programmer, and a cold air intake.

I had a poweraid tbs and it did give me an improvement in gas mileage but had a annoyning little whistle. Not to bad. But I put on the 77 series k&n intake and the whistle got 10x worse. So bad I had to remove it immediately after installing the 77 series. But anyway, the truck picked up alot better gas mileage and I saw a huge improvement in the power department with the 34 nitto terra grap's. I don't predict any problems with the lift and 35's this spring.

But I just wanted to share some info with you. I'll have pic's up tomorrow as long as it's sunny out after work when my fiance brings my truck back from tint.
