Anyone replace just the muffler?

i replaced just the muffler today.. i did a magnaflow 409 series i got it form work with my discoutnf or 50 bucks so i coudlnt pass it up and i put an ss tip on out the rear side.its sounds a little differant i mean u can definatly tell but i woudl have liked a little more sound out of it.. u think if i make it come out the side in front of the rear tires ill get more rumble out of it? any one got any ideas?
