The results are in...

and putting the muffler vertical moved the tip back and straightened up the rear hanger. The tip pulled in a little bit too. It looks like it is almost exactly in the stock exhaust location. I'm glad I called Magnaflow because I probably would not have tried putting the muffler vertical. Thanks for all the help and pictures guys! Now I'm gonna go ride my cycle.

Check out the installation video from the Magnaflow site.

I like how the pipe sits on yours now kd4crs I might try that one day when I have some time. How does it seem to fit in all the hangers with that orientation?

That's weird, their own video contradicts what I was told by their tech support guy. Anyway, the hangers are all straight and true now. I am happy with the way it worked out.

Good deal. At least you're happy with how it looks now and that's all that really matters.

I am really pleased with how it looks now. Heck, I know it's my imagination, but I think it even sounds better now, too! Now if I could just imagine an additional 10 miles per gallon.

If you have the short bed it's supposed to fit.

I just spoke with the tech at Magnaflow and he said the 16612 would not fit my 06 screw with the 6.5 foot bed. He said the hangers are in different spots. I told him that some guys on here said it fit and he said they must have made modifications to make it work. I'm totally confused now. And I was all ready to order the 16612. Now I might go with the Banks Monster. I know thats made for the Screw 6.5.

I believe there was a big discussion a while back on this and thought someone said it fit their 6.5 but nobody could confrm it.

Did you ask them if they were going to have the 6.5' version out anytime soon?

The 16612 does fit on the Screw 6.5ft bed just fine no adjustments are needed. I have pics in my gallery so you can see how far away it sits from the rear tire. Its right about 10 inches away so there is plenty clearance.

well i ordered mine so, next week i will be able to confirm if it fits myself .
im totaly convinced it will, with the amount of people that have said it did.
if it doesnt big deal maybe just a bit of adjustment.
not worth the amount of posting its been getting .

i will comment again after i install it.
