More help

Well we're hopefully about to have my truck runing right this time and I've got money on hand to buy me an exhaust.. I've pretty much made my mind up on the Magnaflow 5"x8" muffler (3" single in 3" dual out) and it's the 12298.. 18" muffler lenght..
Now what I don't know is where to get some dump tips.. Where can I buy some turndowns that arn't polished and isn't to expensive?? I don't care for polished 'cause it's not like you're gonna be starin' at 'em anyways..
Also, should I get 45* or 90* tips? I've heard a 45 'cause the 90 did something but I don't remember.. And I just stick 'em on the end of the muffler right? don't need to get an extra pipe to extend them away from it or anything..
Also, what was the code for the mufflers on Performance Peddler.com? 'cause that's where I'm ordering it at..
Well thanks for all the help in the past!
Ethan

Tell the guy at the muffler shop you want turn downs. He'll make some out of scrap exhaust tube. Cheapest way.

True, I never thought of that.. Prolly what I'll do since I can't find turndowns less than $40 a piece..

Whatever you do, don't pay for turndowns. Nobody's gonna see them.

Yea I didn't plan on it.. That's why I wasn't gonna buy the ones for $40 each, and especially I wasn't gonna pay $72.99 each for Gibson Polished turndowns.. 'cause like you said, you can't even see 'em.. So yea I'm going up to the local muffler shop and have him make me some..

Haha, tell me about it.. I found 'em in a magazine I have (www.supertruckusa.com) and I thought it was rediculus when I seen the price.. lol.. Hopefully the local place shouldn't run me just a few buck.. Is the 45 degree angle the way to go?

No not yet, I just bought me a system for my truck and I owe my dad some more money, so I'm gonna see if he'll buy it for me.. I can get the muffler pretty cheap off performancepeddler.com with a coupon code, go to the local muffler shop and get some tubing and turndowns made and I'm good to go.. Shouldn't cost all that much once I'm done.. But I'll definatly let you know what I think of it when I get it..

I have the si/so FM 10 series and all I did for the turn down was cut the end piece off of the stock tailpipe since I'm not going to need it anymore.
