Leak at the collector?

I've installed JBA shorty headers on my truck and for the life of me, i can't get the passenger side to quit leaking at the collector. I've tried sealant, i've tried sanding the inside of the of the y-pipe and the collector on the header where its leaking, i've tried tapping it shut with a hammer.....all to no end. Any ideas, suggestions? I'm at a complete loss on this one. Thanks.

can you actually feel exhaust coming out or does it just sound like a leak? My headers make a ticking sound more on the passenger side, but its not a leak

there is about a 1 1/2 inch section where you can feel the exhaust pulsing out. Seals up when hot, but you can smell it through the vents for the first few minutes in the morning. Most aggrivating.

Yea that is not good. Most shorties do not line up with the factory exhaust. The best thing i could say to do is drop your midpipe and bend it a little, or cut all 4 cats off and have 2 high flows put on so you can put new pipe after the headers
