Talking

Your in luck, I have the excact same truck except i have 4x4 .Well my friend I just recieved and installed my new MagnaFlow 16612. First of all the look is night and day when I pulled it out of the box, all nice and shiny stainless steel. I got started installing it around 12:40 and after wrestling the old P.O.S. exhaust out and putting the new one in I was done in 40 minutes flat start to finish . Easier to install than my AEM Brute! Now, after start up, lets just say that the oak tree started to grow. I love the sound of this system. A low purrrrrr at idle but when you get on it you know you have a 5.4 V8. At highway speeds it is noticable you have some pipes back there, but its just a reminder and not an in your face slap. The Drone will not give you a headache. I got my system at http://www.performancepeddler.com for a great price. They let me name my price and had free shipping. I ordered it on Wed and got it Fri afternoon. I live in California so I guess they had it drop shipped from the Manufacturer. BIG THUMBS UP FOR THIS SYSTEM, I LOVE IT.

go with the Magnaflow, for your truck the 16612

i had it installed today on a 2007 150 wb supercrew 6.5 bed
the 16612 fits perfectly on the 5.5 believe it was made for it.
it fit fine on mine but the outlet did move foward some.

but it should be perfect on yours.
ohhhhhhhhh you will love the sound not overpowering at all.

if you get it go to performance peddeler and offer 300 they will send ya email saying no go but we will sell it to ya for 358.00 thats the best deal anywhere .

Same truck, similar question

My truck is an 06 SCrew FX4, 5.4L 5.5' bed. Looking to add an aftermarket exhaust. But I'm one of the strange guys who doesn't necessarily want my truck to sound like a drag car. Just looking for decent performance increase without overwhelming sound increase.

After reading a ton of threads here, everyone seems pretty sold on the Magnaflow, but how much of an increase is there in in-cab noise? I can just hear the wife complaining about it being too loud when pulling the boat this summer.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

i think you would be quite pleased with the 16612 magnaflow catback system.
i will tell you that i was thinkin the same thing , new quiet truck changed to a 70's noise maker . lol
but i was very pleased with the sound , its loudest when started or when ya put your foot in it, but when just crusin or not poundin on it its barley noticeable.
and just a note my wife was smilin , she loves the deep sound
and i can attest to that cause my miles per gal have gone down cause she puts her foot in it more , prob to hear it. lolol

I installed a Volant system that has a good healthy sound when ya get on it but it is not too loud in the cab. The Corsa touring system is supposed to be quieter than your magnaflows and gibsons.
