i posted this in the other exhaust forum as well, i just really want some good feedback-
i have an 18" mag on my 04, i love the way it sounds but wouldnt mind it being a little louder. its pretty quiet at idle but sounds great upon start-up while its warming in the 1200 rpm range. so my question, does anyone have sound clips of 14" mags? i have to decide whether to just hope that after the breakin in (its only 2 weeks old) it gets louder like some guys have said or just upgrade to the 14 if it wont. also is there any hp or tq difference in the two? its si/do with 14"x3.5 tips btw

 

I have the 18'' since Jan and it has got a little louder but not enough for my liking. I got the 18'' because of my two kids but its still quiet. I havent done anything yet because a friend of mine heard my truck getting on to the highway and he said it was pretty noticable. I guess im going to have to let the wife drive the truck so I can hear it first hand. But im thinking of going the 14'' route also.

 

yeah thats probably not a bad idea to have someone else drive it so i can hear what its like from the outside while in motion, wait what am i saying someone else drive my truck! i'll have to work up to it

 

The wife drives it once in a while but thats because i've been drinking so I dont notice anything.
