Listen to sound clips of them. I would base your decision on what sounds better to you. Neither will give you any significant power. Dynomax sounds good too. You can get the bullets cheap too. Whatever you choose, they will all sound good.

A friend of mine has a Flowmaster on his truck (I believe he has the 40 series) and it's not loud at all. I will be going with a Magnaflow when I finally get mine.

Are you planning on installing yourself? I want to order the exact same exhaust, just wondering how tough and install job it is yourself.

So, with these cat-back exhaust kits that come with the clamps, etc. Do you use the clamps? Or do you get the fittings welded? Both?

I can't seem to find anyone who knows for sure what is best.

Help?

I am planning on installing myself once I take a look at the clamps. I crawled under the other day and saw the factory had the same type of clamps, a wideband clamp vs the typical c-bar u-bolt clamp.

I may have to raise it on ramps to pull stock out and MF in. I am just worried bout the spare and its hangers. I'll try to take a few pics if I install myself.

I read here and other places that it is not that much trouble. Just tighten things snu enough along the way so alignment and exhaust lines don't drop out while working back.

I know that welded is fo-sho the best but I believe it is designed to make perfectly good secure connections with the supplied clamps.

I kinda thinkof it as a clamp is a butt-connector in electrical wires vs soldering is ALWAYS best.

The factory used clamps on everthing cat back but welded everything cat forward. I guess that is due to emissions for exhaust prior to cat as well as not to introduce air in or exhaust out to mess up O2 sensors. Cat back is just noise control and to properly route exhaust to the vehicle edge away from the cab.
