Factory crimp in exhaust pipe? Y or N
I just took delivery and am the proud owner of a 2007 F-150. When I looked underneath it I noticed that the exhaust pipe about midway between the Y-connection and the muffler has a flat crimp in it about 5" long along the top and bottom. Can one of you out there confirm if yours has it too or is this intended? I can't think of a practical reason Ford may have done this and figure it may be causing somewhat of a restriction.

Thanks for the reply ws6_guyscrew. I was starting to wonder about the lack of response. You can tell the crimp in the exaust is intended and not something done in transport or by accident. It just does not look right and just wanted to know if everyone else's truck of the same vintage is the same or not. I already have a 14" magnaflow offset I/O that I was going to put on and make up the difference in length with stainless tubing. I may replace the tubing up the the connector after the y-pipe just to get rid of that crimp.
