Buying side exit exhaust

Waiting for my FX4 to come in and want to go ahead and have the exhaust ready to go on. I want the best price on a side exit exhaust!

Where can you point me? I dont prefer a certain brand... but would like magnaflow

I say check out performancepeddler.com & summitracing.com and buy your muffler, and have a shop make your tips. Much cheaper and the same great sound

looks like a fair price

why not have someone bend the pipes for you and do a "custom install" VS the "out of the box look"?

thats what I might do.... you dont think your typical exhaust installer will charge over $150 to make 2 bend pipes and weld tips and muffler to them do you?

ask your local muffler shop for prices, online isn't always cheaper

There's a bunch here who just get a muffler (SISO or SIDO) and a few pieces to with tips to bring it out in front of the tire. Seems like it should be easy and pretty cheap?

What do you think about this???

I know it is aluminized so it will start rusting the day I put it on, what ways are there to prep it to where it will not rust if I buy this???

I have $187 in my side exit exhaust. I got the muffler from performancepeddler.com and got the tips from fle-online.com and had a exhaust shop bend some pipes. I got the Magnaflow 12158( 14", si/do) and I am happy with it.

Man, you got a nice new ride. Why would you put crappy aluminized exhaust parts on it? Spend the coin and get a good exhaust. Just my $.02 of course.

Not quite sure, you might be able to coat it with that rust stopping still but the heat of the exhaust could melt it off so idk if its worth even doing.

Are you looking for side exit in front of the rear tire or behind? Well anyways I was going to make my own kit until I found this setup. (if you look around in the link there are a couple sound clips as well)
http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...nt=exhaust.jpg

Under $300 shipped and a perfect fit from Borla for Ford Racing, they make them for all the Ford trucks 97 up (different part #'s) and they come with a extension pipe if you have a SCAB. If you have any intrest let me know.

EDIT: I might have to stand corrected as I just looked and I'm not 100% sure if they do have them for the newer F150's. If you want to research fitment this might help out http://www.fordracingparts.com/annou...aust_copy2.pdf
