Well it looks and functions like a CAI so thats what I'm calling it. I'm just satisfied that I did it myself and didn't have to crawl to the bank and break my pocketbook for a fancy system that essentially gives you the same performance....

So, no its not a true CAI......yet.......well then again nothing really is....should call them ambient air intakes.

Update, revamped and very purty! Decided with gloss black as it matches my theme, thinking chrome/aluminum finish would have been "gawdy".

Is that green? I thought it was like beige lol. I do have one question I can't figure out, who the heck is the manufacterer of my filter? I guess I can make out CP on it. Is that a filter manufacterer anyone is familar with?

built54: you are darn tootin! I really notice the change, my truck not only has better low end torque, but it also idles at around 7-800RPMs now, before it was 1-1200RPMs. That is big improvement I think.

you might want to turn you MAF back the way it was. its not good to change the orientation of it. other than that, looks good

Yeah, you to turn it forward about 90 degrees - The IAT should be @ about 2 o'clock.

OK I re-oriented the MAF and IAT back to the ways there were in the original OEM airtube. The only difference is that I have moved the IAT forward a few inches. No biggie, just reads slightly colder air.

My main question is now, should I reset my computer again for "relearning idle" or just let it go....as I didn't really change anything by re-orienting the MAF from the position i had it in, then to its "correct" position did I? Because I let it relearn idle from the modified position.
