catback vs. new muffler???

catback vs. new muffler???
thinking of welded in a new super 44, how would that differ form a full cat-back system? i've know the magnaflow systems are the best for gains, what about there mufflers alone?

Same question as him, but also wonder if changing the Y pipe in addition to the muffler would help as well?

the full catback system is alot better for performence and a little more sound but if you just want sound muffelers are fine
