I've got a custom Magnaflow system. I had my factory exhaust cut off, and replaced with a single 3" aluminized steel pipe, custom bent, with a SI/SO 3"x14" Magnaflow muffler (stainless steel) with a dump right after the muffler (basically a turndown tip made from 3" aluminized steel. I absolutely love it. I noticed a small performance gain (the 4.6L engine doesn't make much torque below 3000 RPM or much horsepower below 3500 RPM), and it was well worth $250. It's basically the same as the SI/SO 3" Magnaflow catback, only with aluminzed steel pipes instead of stainless steel (no snow here in TX, so no road salt and no rust problems). The stainless steel pipe is really what makes the Magnaflow catback so expensive. Also, I was afraid it would be too quiet, that's why I have it dumped. And I couldn't be happier with it.
