Flowmaster 40 sounded great on my V6 but killed the power , after 4 different set ups went with single exaust flow 50 lost some of the sound but runs great. My experience with magnaflow on a V6 is made it sound like a honda with a coffie can muffler

Magnaflow. Get one of the bigger ones. The bigger they are, the quieter they are. I'm thinking 24".

I have a Flo-Pro VForce on mine, SI/SO, part number is (coincidence) V6, connected to the stock tailpipe.

Clip:

I used a cheap mike and had it too close to the tailpipe, but you should get the idea. It's not loud at all inside the cab, you know its running but there's very little drone, just a growl when you get on it.

There's a couple clips of a Flo-Pro FP739 SI/DO from one of our other members.

I wouldn't go smaller than a 20". Did you listen the cound clips glc found? Sound is different to everyone. I'm sure he likes his exhuast, I can't stand it. No offense to this person, just my opinion. It's too loud for a 6.

It's not as loud as the clip indicates - I had the mike in the wrong place and it was a dirt cheap mike. I recorded it on my laptop using Windows sound recorder - not exactly precision there either. It really does sound better than that - a lot less popping and more of a growl than a rasp.
