Which exhaust is right for me???

I have a 2003 SCrew FX4 with a 4.6 Triton

I want to put an exhaust on it, the stock one is way too quiet.
I am looking for something that won't break my wallet, with dual straight tips, and a really ballsy deep and loud redneck sound to it.

Also how would it be ran? Thegas tank takes up the whole left side of the truck????

Any help would be cool....:santa:

Go to a local exhaust shop (shop around for the best prices)...

True dual straight pipes with either an h or x-pipe up front. They'll run both pipes back and split at about the rear axle. It'll be real loud and aggressive!

I was reading on another thread about using a "Y" to split it and run no muffler at all???

Would that work for what I want to do and does anybody know if it is legal in Texas??

It would work, but it wouldn't be nearly as loud as the true dual set-up.

My brother has 2.25 true dual straightpipes on his '97 4.6, it sounds very nice, no x or H pipe. The stock cats are still in place. He has them going out the back at 45 degrees and angled down slightly, if I didn't work in a larger city I would have also gone that route.

If you go duals, i would recommend taking it from the Y and split it again, thus creating an X pipe. An H pipe really is better imo, but they both do essentially the same thing.
