Question K&N air filter

I recently purchased a 2003 F150 XLT Flareside Supercab. The previous owner put a K&N air filter in it which 78,000 miles later looks plenty dirty and ready for cleaning.

Opinions on the K&N air filter: Is it worth purchasing the cleaning/re-lubing kit or should I just pop a paper filter in it?

Clean it, just be carful not to over oil it.
