I think this is the muffler you are talking about with the built in X http://www.hottexhaust.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=14385
going this rout would cost a little less but I'm a fan of the X pipe a few feet in front of the mufflers. Its all about how you want to do it.

with your dad owning an exhaust shop, how much would u say an exaust shop would charge more to add the pipe to an x pipe and into the dual inlet pipes over just a single in dual out

If you are starting out with stock exhaust it would cost alot there is a lot of pain in the *** bends to be made I would guess $475+, and thats if you have the muffler and the X pipe, since my dad's shop does all work I really dont know what they would charge. my buddy an 04 FX4 and just to run SIDO flowmaster and piping was $375.

That price was to split the Y as well, and the labor rate across the us is not the same. I paid $350 in MD to have a POS flowmaster muffler and SIDO on my old f150 all depends where you go
