Volant vs. S&B

What do you guys think abut the Volant vs the S&B for a 5.4? Noise is not an issue for me. Im going to try and get one by the end of next month and cant decide.

Throw Outlaw Power in that list. All three companies are located within 30 minutes of each other. All are enclosed filter systems. The Outlaw Power has the washable NeverOil synthetic filter, while the Volant and S&B use the oiled cotton filter.

If you haven't heard of Outlaw Power, their info is here: http://www.outlawpower.com/productdetail.php?sc=1486

I also recommend you take a look at the Banks Power intake if your budget allows.

I installed the S&B last week and had a bad resinating noise at 1800rpms. Almost to the point I was going to sell it. But the performance was exellent with my exhaust and programer. So today I figured I was going to loosen everything up and check all fittings. Well I must have tighten everything to tight because as soon as I began loosening a few couplers it all adjusted it self and its a lot more quiet I took it for a 20 minute run with the wife and kids and the wife thought I put the stock intake back in until I merged on to the highway. Im 100% happier with this intake now. On a side note everyone who sees this on my truck has loved it.

this is all i have found about dyno charts on s&b has anyone heard otherwise, thats a pretty big gain off only an intake
S & B Filters Performance Intake Kit:

More Air = More Power. S & B Filters cool air intakes really do increase horsepower and improve fuel economy and are backed by a Million Mile Warranty.

Kit includes a lifetime washable & reusable high flow air filter, custom designed air box to isolate the filter from engine heat, a clear inspection lid to check the filter service interval, a high quality cross linked polyethylene intake tube and box with stainless steel hardware. S & B Filters are tested to ISO 5011 Filtration Standard. Manufactured in the U.S.A. Tested to a Higher Standard.

Easy at home installation with easy to follow instructions included and can be installed in just minutes with simple hand tools.

Note: This is the only air system on the market that truly does add 18 HP without ANY other other additions.

Ive never seen Dyno ratings. But I can tell you that It makes a noticable difference in my truck. I also have a Magnaflow si/so exhaust and a Edge programmer. Definitley worth the money.
