Hey I want to ditch my flowmaster 40 dumped to a DIDO magnaflow dumped. I am thinking about 2 1/4 pipe and the X-Core muffler.

However, I originally wanted the smaller 11" DIDO, but it is not an X-Core and therefore I would have to also buy an X-PIPE. I am trying to keep cost low here, so I would rather get the 14" X-Core, but is that gonna be loud enough for my taste....even if I go dumped?

I want it to be pretty loud.

 

I would imagine it would be just fine. Give it a few weeks to get broke in, and it will get quite a bit louder. Good choice on magnaflow. Why not 2.5" pipe?

 

I don't know. I am torn dude. A lot of people say go 2 1/4 pipe for power. Would it be better with 2 1/2? I don't have heavy mods just an intake and Edge tuner. Do you think I would be ok for power with that?

 

2 1/4 may give you a LITTLE more power, but in my opinion, the sound difference is enough that id much rather have less power.

 

Hmmm....then maybe I will go with the 2.5 piped DIDO with the built in X......and I will dump it.

I am hoping that if I buy the muffler myself for cheap that the install won't be too much...considering less piping with it being dumped and no tips, as well.

BTW I know you have heard this before, but I think your truck is freakin sick Love the look of it...it's perfect!

i had the same setup flowmaster 40, now im changein to the 14inch 2.5 in and out x piped magnaflow too
