I ordered an Airaid intake for my 4.6 '07 Flareside from Moss Motors. The Part # is 337-653. As usual they delivered right away. However, the instructions say that this intake is only for '07 models produced after 1/1/07. Mine was built in November '06.

Anyone know what changed after 1/1/07? And the longshot question is whether the intake they sent will fit.

I spoke with Airaid...the intake brackets are somewhat different depending on the production date of the trucks. New design change. I had an 00 f150...there were three different spark plugs based on the VIN #. The year model does not matter as much as the timeframe of its production. Your 07, is technically an 06.

 

Thanks. I guess it's back to square 1 w/regard to an intake. I'm assumimng there won't be any problem returning what I have to Moss. Their website makes no distinction between build dates.
