On my 1998 F150 5.4 there was a Midas RAVEN with dual 3.5" tips out the back and it was ok for sound. On my 2000 should I go Flowmaster 40 or Magnaflow 14"or 18" I did not ask size the shop has Both for the same price $225.00 with chrome tips they are both 3"in 2x2-1/2 out on this truck I want out the corners.
I know this has been beat to death before but i am looking for opinions.

 

The FM will be louder than the Magnaflow.The FM's are a chambered muffler,the Magnaflows are a flow through design.The Fm's drone @ high way speed,while the Magnaflows dont.I've had both mufflers and I liked them both,I run the Magnaflow now,simply because its a little more quiet than the FM.The rule on mufflers is,the shorter the muffler,the louder,the longer the muffler,the quieter,hope this helps.

I would go with the Magnaflow!!I have had both and the flow is louder but the tone is better IMO with magnaflow.Go with the 14 inch Magnaflow or cheack into Dynomax Bullets.

I had dual FM's on my last. Magnaflow on this truck. I much prefer the Maggie. Better sound, no drone, a little better throttle response and I picked up almost 1.5 MPG in town to boot!
