Yes that is fine....many kits out there that are Single Pipe in and Out are 3" and a big 4" tip will sound sweet too!

Do you have the V8 though and are you planning on a muffler or straight pipe?

Yeah then you will be fine. 3" is good for single pipe....but if you do duals go with 2.5" or 2 1/4"

Seriously? that sucks. You could order a magnaflow kit, but they are kind of pricey. I am sure you could find a shop somewhere that will do it.

You could actually order 3" pipe online and just have them bend it for you, but I don't know how much in the end doing that would cost over just dealing with what they would charge.

But yeah I would get a small Magnaflow SISO 3" muffler that will sound good. I wish I didn't have flowmaster, but I threw together my exhaust myself and only spent around $100+ for a 40 series some turndowns, clamps, and some other bs to transition the pipe size to fit the muffler. It's not the best looking thing in the world, but I will eventually re-do it and I am glad I didn't waste a ton of money on it.

I would measure your stock exhaust to determine how much pipe you need. In terms of muffler size that is up to you, but I would go with like an 18" long magnaflow or maybe even smaller if you want it louder. Check their site for sizes.
