Can a muffler be too small...

This might be dumb question, but I am lacking in the exhaust category. I have a magnaflow on my truck SIDO (not sure of the inlet outlet diameter though). Compared to the stocker this muffler is really small. I'll post dimensions of it when I get home, but it is like 1/4th the size. Magnaflow told me there is no such thing, but that sounded funny to me.

I remember on my mustang when I put 40's on, they were smaller becuase of not being a steel pack but a turbo muffler so to say. But not by this big a difference.

You guys are the pros, let me know if anything...

the smaller the muffler, the louder the sound will be. the smaller the muffler, the less restrictive it is. this mean better airflow, and more torque. i wouldnt worry about your muffler being *too small*
