Dumped Exhaust Clip

Does anyone have by chance a sound clip of a dumped IMCO muffler on a 5.4L?

Or just a dumped muffler of any kind sound clip..

I'm thinking of hacking off my tailpipes after the muffler..

Thanks
-Alex

i cut the muffler off and i got better MPG's and also it was alot more peppy. but at WOT when it hit the frist shift at 35mph it would pop and it poped when i would rev it but my headers got rid of the poping noise i have a 4.6L not the 5.4L so i dont know what it would sound like on yours

yeah the reason i ask is because my friends '91 F350's muffler just rusted off and came out and it sounds bad *** for a diesel!! I would like my truck to sound similar and was wondering if i could maybe just cut the tail pipes off to get the same effect.. But, I also like the look of the tips in the back so I'm considering putting in cut-outs behind the muffler.. You think that would get me about the same tone as a dumped exhaust?

Thanks

i liked the sound of mine with no muffler and single pipe. sounds better dumped right after the cats with headers. if its before the muffler it will Def be alot louder. if you cut the pipes after the muffler i dont think ull get much if any differnt sound.

dumping it will sound a little bit louder outside, & much louder inside.

The Flow40 will be louder, but the Dynomax will sound better, more of a racing performance tone to it
