a lil too loud :)

so yesterday i had my down pipe made without the lil S for the muffler offset and i have my o2 sim's and when i would get on it it sounds like a monster truck who says 4.6L's cant be loud lol. when i droped my friend off i left as quite as i could at only 1500RPM's and his mom was on the 2nd floor and she said the windows were shakeing, lol so im going to just throw the mufflers on the end of the pipe so i dont get a 500$$ to loud ticket lol. ill put a sound clip of my truck open pipe and then with dyno Superturbos. Also is it bad to run open pipe? i have the o2 sims so i firgued im safe. a few of my friends at a football game last nite heard my truck at WOT over the crowd and said it was super loud and sounded nice lol.

EDIT: Nevermind you're running opens headers. I want to keep my warrenty.

My '99 was a 4.6L, gibson headers, hi-flow cats, x pipe, then pipes straight to the rear bumper - it sounded very similar and was EXTREMELY loud. It was fun for a month or so but I started hating it when I couldn't even talk on the phone and drive.

Nice job though!

Sounds good but, good luck trying to have a conversation while driving. That'd get old fast.

i got the dynomax's up there but i need to trim up the driver side pipe a lil bit. because the mufflers outlet is like 2 inchs from the gas tank=bad so im gonna cut like a foot off the pipe and prob put a turn down on it. it has a nice sound. better than open headers...quiter but better and it sounds better than my cats dumping. i like them ill post more vids of my truck open headers and then with the superturbos. i tryed taking pics but they didnt come out well its very restrictive under neithe my truck ill try my best thoe. coming from u built54 that its loud that means alot lol.

Ya i would have to say you would get a ticket if you continued to run open headers!! People have no sense of humor anymore
The open headers gets old after a hearing them daily.

i donno i like my loud stuff i dont think theyed get old for me untill i was driving for like 2 hours with it at about 1500RPM's then it might get old or ill fall asleep from the same sound the whole trip. im still trimmin up the driver pipe but after i cut about a foot off my muffler wont fit in there the down pipe needs to go over towards the trans about an inch or so. im gonna loosen up the flang and see if i can rig something and then tightin the flang and hope it stays lol.
