did you let the oil dry and soak in before you put it back on? your are probably sucking all the oil off of it.

If you like the blue color on your filter as I did put a Outerwares filter cover on it in blue thay make other colors and they look great and help the filter stay cleaner for longer

Well I put oil into filter and installed on tube in the engine area and sit there for overnight... .

I also recenlty oil changed about 500 miles ago- always use mobil one and its now a bit tan color already... i think maybe i ll buy outerware to be safe.

i found some info after search and said its normal to turn gray from blue..who knows!

Hello again!

I got a email replied from Air Force one about this one and i copied/pasted.

Here what he said.

"hey gregory, its normal for the blue color to go away pretty quickly, unfortunatly the blue oil dosent hold color very long, there is no difference in efficiency of the filter. as far as frequency of cleaning/ re-oiling, i would say every 2 to 3 oil changes, depending on geographical location, very dusty dirty+more fequent, highway=3rd oil change but thats me, you can go longer but im just **** i guess lol. its all on how the filter looks, if there are bugs and other little things stuck in the pleats, and its starting to get a nice layer of brown crust built up on it than its definatly time. iff you have any other questions please email me back and il be glad to help. everett, airforce one performance."

Later!

Found it the outerwears part # is 20-1621 B (B is for Blue) If you follow the link in my last post you can punch in the # without the B It says its for a 99 F-350 but you can see buy the specs it the correct one (for a 01 screw w an AF-1) If you need a diffrent size just call there 800 # and tell them what your filter specs are ...Good luck guys
