lol you cant compare a ur truck to an evo... headers are not going to make you that much louder. My truck is much louder with mufflers than straight pipes, get high flow cats if you dont have them already

I'm just going to remove the cats. We don't have any sort of emissions testing in Kentucky.

OBX Headers

Anyone lookung for OBX, theres a few kits on the 'ol E-Bay. prices do range so check em all. I have been looking into them too, pretty hard to knock them for the price, as long as they don't crack or anything like that.

Okay, let me get this clear: If you're speaking of changing ONLY headers, and nothing else in the exhaust chain, then yes, I agree to a point with you. It will more than likely sound a little louder than before, but not to a point where you [the individual] may hear a difference. On something like an SPL meter may be a differing story. Tone, may be a different ball-game altogether, too.

LT headers should produce a noticeably exhaust "output" difference than the common ST headers.... regardless of what else is changed in the chain. Re my remark: "I agree to a point with you."

On the flip side, if you're speaking of headers [especially LT's] and a complete exhaust system: then that's an entire different kettle of fish.

One [muscle] show car, three [muscle] street cars and two full-sized pickups I've owned personally in the past will cement my claim that headers and an entire aftermarket exhaust chain will produce VERY noticeable differences in sound, tone, tune and the seat of your pants..... any-n-every day of the week!

I don't need a clip to back this claim. Any one who's taken this path will vouch...

That's what I'm banking on, it would be nice to add to my already in place cat back, plus, built54 claims around 30 hp's with long tubes so hell, I'm in

yeah I meant headers only being changed isnt going to make night and day diff. in loudness, just sound.
