I think some people have waited as long as 12 weeks already for their tunes. I ordered mine last week and got my sheets out the very next day. I got the fans and pulleys, and the X3 with the tunes. I planned on it taking that long to get some other stuff done.

By the way, the truck sounds good.

From what I've read in the past , Mikes tunes are worth the wait. I can't even begin to imagine the demand that guy handles.

Quite honestly there just can't be that much difference against other decent tuners. There just isn't that much to be gained, you get the timing curve and a/f straightened out, firm up the shifts and shift points, etc.... There's no magic there, just experience. My truck doesn't make any more power or drive any differently than I would expect it to with any decent tune. Crystal didn't get back to me today like she said she would to confirm time frame, if its 8 weeks I'm either getting tunes from elsewhere or selling the XCal2 and getting something else. I have friends with pretty wild Mustang combos that get things updated in a day or two....

...Crystal is at Mike's mercy on that answer, and he is busy tuning vehicles to answer every question that comes in. May as well list the Xcal-II now, I'm sure many here would be glad to have it. My advice is to drive it as is without flogging it too much until you can get Mike's tunes.

So was there much of a gain with the headers? If so where at? Low end/Mid range Top end, etc? Also did they affect your mileage?

Thanks.

He just put the headers on last week. He's obviously been a bit hard on it. I think e needs more time to get an accurate mpg measurement.

Yeah....funny thing....mileage didn't seem to be so good last week......might of had something to do with half a dozen 0-100 runs for timing and datalogging....

For power it really doesn't feel much different for driving other than the difference in noise, but dropping 3.5 seconds 0-100 shows there's obviously some nice gains. I'm gonna lean it out and add a degree or two of timing tomorrow, I know its running rich since I've got a wideband on it, we'll see if it likes the timing or not. I may dyno it next wednesday, we'll see....

I hope you haven't already covered this, but I noticed you used the O2 bung in the cross over tube on the driver's side as opposed to the one just after the resonator. Why, and what did you do on the pass side? I am going to get the non "L" / Harley kit, and they have O2 bung before / after the resonators as well as a 3rd. one in the cross over pipe like yours...not sure what to do about plugging that one yet. Why in the hell would they do that, and only on the driver's side?

The Dynatechs are the same way. In the picure for the Dynatechs, theres a cap in the one imediately following the driver's side cat. Also, if you look, Dynatech has the driver side mid pipe the same as the OBX. Long side attached to the cat.

Any idea why that is? Shouldn't the rear O2's be located in approx. the same location in relation to each other?
