flowmaster on 5.4
#17
i went from stock muffler delete with a y-pipe in its place, out to 45 degree behind tire exit with slash cut tips, retaining all stock cats and piping behind the Y, to the current SIDO Flowmaster 40 series (not by choice, as I loved how my truck sounded with the Y-pipe in, however I had my dad take my truck to the exhaust shop while I was out of town on business to have them look at an exhaust leak for me - he decided it was too loud and had the muffler put on at that point; needless to say I wasnt happy at all). The flowmaster is on now with the dual out to 45s behind the rear tires with the slash cut tips and factory cats in place. I actually noticed an increase in torque, not sure about hp b/c i dont push it hard enough to ever realize any sort of increase in HP, but i did notice the torque increase in my towing. Now I have lost some torque as of late b/c of my terrible exhaust leak on the passenger side manifold that will hopefully be getting fixed in the next two weeks.
