Getting an X pipe would of coarse require converting to true duals. So your Y pipe would have the connection cut and run a seperate left manifold exhaust pipe down with the right. You can either purchase an X pipe online ( summitracing for example ) or ask the shop to fabricate one for you. I would ask if they could build it though, much cheaper than a $60.00 X pipe. And if your not changing mufflers, just going to run no mufflers true dualed, as long as your cats are still in there it will sound alright ( exept for the people you fly by fast )

Yea thanks, it will be gone by next weds. though, I've had it for 8 months and I'm tired of the same sound everyday. I ordered my new 2.5" maggie X and 2 4" round by 14" maggie mufflers. I'm going to get rid of 2 of the 4 cats and run new 4" tips in the same place, I hope it sounds good, if not the mufflers will go on my 64.5 289 stang or my cuz's LS, and then time to find another one.

awesome plan. That should sound good. My F150 sounds like a minivan... that stock 32" muffler has got to go! Not long run now i'll saw it out and put pipe in to conenct it to the tip, until I can get a real exhaust like my Silverado's true dual system.
