Looks real nice.
I have been lookin at something similar.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-04...QQcmdZViewItem

How much did it cost?
Are you going to exit out the back this time?

Mine is a single out the side in front of the tire.
I have been thinking about OBX headers and the Lightning exhaust.
I also have been thinking about a remote turbo.
Dont want to buy anthing yet.

Norm

What size piping are you running? What model number mufflers are those? I'm installing the following next week:

(2) Magnaflow Cats (94305)
(2) 14” round 2.25” Magnaflow Mufflers (10415)
Magnaflow X-Pipe (10790)

they look like the same mufflers you have there, but mine are for 2.25" piping

Well I got it done, I left the cats on for now, we didnt feel like taking the tranny crossmember down to get them out. So it's quieter than before, but much throatier, and def. picked up torque over the straight pipes. I also went with 3.5" tips, but they are 18" so it picked the sound up some. My x-pipe is #10791 2.5" and the resonators are #10416, the 14" Maganpacks. I'm going to take a video now, so hopefully it will be up in 30 mins or so.

I was under the understanding that the tips have nothing to do with sound. They are only cosmetic.

After the sound travels all the way through the pipes...some chrome tips are not going to change the acoustics...

They change the sound alot, It acts as a expansion chamber, so it "echo's" through the tip. My 4" sounded alot deeper and louder than the 3.5" I had with the flowbastard way back when. Next time you get an exhaust done, crank it up with just the piping, no tip, and then put the tip on it. Video is almost done uploading though, I have the link shortly.

I've heard that rolled edge tips make a different sound as opposed to a slash cut, and that a bigger diameter tip makes a deeper tone. Don't know if it's true, just what I've heard.
