knock off brands

I personally would never have a knock off brand muffler for a real sytem, but It will be awhile until I get the exhaust system I want under my truck, and I still have some research to do. So my question is, Instead of running a straight pipe, I'm considering buying a cheap knock off Flowmaster 10 series muffler and running that for a month or two ( till I get my real system ). view here. Do you guys think it would be alright to run this? Or should I just go ahead & take the stock muffler out? or leave it alone until I'm ready to commit to a entire new system? Has anyone else here tried running a knock off brand muffler? If so any feedback? I'm just wanting some good sound thats real affordable for the time being. Thanks.

Hell, buy it and run it. I would run that over a flowbastard any day, and even run it as a system. Knockoff's are better deals on the same quaility stuff minus the name brand mark up. Look at summit's new chambered muffler, identical to a FM, but cost less than $40 a pop.

yeah thats exactly what im thinking. If it sounds like what a real Flowmaster 10 should sound like, i'll by it real quick and run it till i get the true duals. All I need is a few good words about it cause I dont wanna buy a pice of crap that sounds obnoxious and raspy

It will be loud, prob obnoxious, and raspy. It will not be smooth and mellow, but try it and see.
