What length Magnafllow do you have?

I was curious what length Magnaflow you are running? I have a local muffler shop here that will install a 22" Magnaflow for about $160.00. Does not sound too expensive. I had one on my 3.0 1999 Ranger, don't remember the size, but I did like it. Especially after it "burned in". He states that it will be a nice sound but not too loud and the length will be good for back pressure which is good for torque as we know, but still free flowing.

Hi Josh,
I played your video a couple of times. It sounds good on the computer but I know it sounds better in person.
I am not looking for it to be too loud, just a nice mellow tone, except when I get on it. That's what I remember about the Maggie I had before.
Just wondering if anyone was runnin' about a 22" long or so like the muffler shop recommended.

I have a 22" Magnaflow but I also have long tube headers and high flow cats. It's not exactly the sound I wanted and might switch to the Borla ProXS later down the road. It's decently quiet. It sounds good around 2000 rpm and then I barely hear it after about 2500 rpm. My tires are also really loud so that may play a part. jbrew has a 22" I believe also. I know heh as video somewhere.

I have the 14" on mine and I am happy with it. I think the 22" will be to quiet and you will wish you went with the smaller one.

You wont be happy with the 22", it will be as loud as stock, just different sounding, not worth it at all. I would get the 14". I'm getting 14" Magnaflows on my F150s system coming soon. YouTube it and see what you like.

Copy and paste from the "muffler" thread in the Exhaust and Intake section:

18" Maggy swap here on a 4.6

First one is a cold start Maggy.

Cold start OEM followed by Warm start Maggy

If you want louder, a 14" inch should be a little louder.
BTW, it's a 5x11x18, oval. It was $62 from performancepeddler.com. Oh, and that's all muffler, no tips. I really need to get a "WOT" drive by video up. Sometimes, I wonder how much better it would have been if I would have gotten a 14" inch.
