My True Exhaust Plan

Magnaflow x-Pipe right after the cats, and two 18" Magnaflow circular mufflers. I'm gonna have 2.25" piping with stainless mandrel bent after the mufflers...How would it sound?

Pretty good, but it prob. won't be very loud, look into the 14" round body mufflers for a nice rumble, your setup will be similar to mine just 2.25", and the high flows

i'd do that but instead of the maggie mufflers use two 12" dynomax bullet race mufflers. It will sound SO good.

the only problem with the bullets is that if the exhaust is run out the back it will sound like straight pipes, all choppy, and trashy IMO.

they are the exact same muffler you have on yours, just 2" shorter....

With all the stock cats and an X, they arent going to sound trashy/choppy at all...

the bullets are just a perforated tube, no packing, so it just acts as a expansion chamber, they advertise only a 2-4db change over straight pipes, I have heard them straight out the back, and they sounded just like straight pipes. But it all depends on what the OP likes.

Why not just go with straights? I have them and i love them. Also, they will save you money as you don't have to buy mufflers!!! More money for high flow cats, or just gas money!!!

Either setup would sound really good, but definatly different. The maggie will be a little tamer but still have a nice deep rumble, the bullets will be louder and more aggressive sounding, I dont think eather will be choppy or "trashy" as you have an x-pipe in the system so you wont get the pop constantly.

I have no mufflers on my truck with an X pipe, it sounds awesome, but very loud in cab. I would go with short mufflers if you want loud but hopefully not so loud in the cab.

Mine also, check my sig for clips. It is very loud in the cab and drones on the highway, if you don't mind the drone then it definitely sounds killer.

my previous setup is the same as both of yours, I loved it, but with the mufflers I INSTANTLY felt more torque. Mine wasn't choppy, but it popped alot, the torque increase, no drone, and smoother sound of my magnaflows is far worth the $104 I paid for them. Both setup vids are in my sig.

I am sorry man but I have had about 4 different setups one of them Magniflow, and you can't "feel" the difference in any of them. My truck weights around 6000lbs and you expect me to believe that the 5-10ft-lbs and 5 hp difference can be felt, I just don't believe it and I know that I didn't.

14" Mags sound pretty loud, I'm going on a 12 hour interstate trip in June, don't wanna be annoyed. I'll be at 1900-2100 while cruising, the perfect drone spot.

Well my truck weighs 5800+, and I "felt" the torque, I live 3/4 way up a 8% grade, the truck would hold 70 in 3rd with T/C unlocked straight piped, with the magnaflows 72 mph, and the T/C stayed locked for longer and the truck responds alot better. I will be taking it to the strip weather permitting, so I will post times again, and then I can see if the gains I "felt" are significant enough to change times.

I have a vid I did for another member with a windows down accel and then a cruise from 55-70 mph so he could hear mine, It is quiet in the cab, and loud when I want. And it's even sideswept, so it's right under the backseat. It will sound best on good speakers.http://youtube.com/watch?v=7BCV61HEBVY
