Are you doing it the right way?

When you install something say exhaust or intake on your truck are doing it the right way? And what i mean by that i mean unhooking the battery on both (NEG. and POS.) side and waiting? you need to at least wait an hour and that's about how long it takes to install something n'e ways reason behind all this is that it resets the MAF Sensor which needs to be re calibrated due to last time it was set it was set on stock exhaust or intake and needs to figure out that hey more air is coming in or going out. it will cut back on all this omg im running lean crap..

This is so far from the truth! The how and why a MAF sensor works, and how an actual OBD2 motor works escapes you. I highly recommend reading up on engine basics before posting something such as this again. I dont mean disrespect, but honestly you have no idea what you are talking about.
Bashing is easy.

And to original poster... You are basically brand new here.
You aren't the first to install an intake and you aren't the first to come up with this idea.
just relax and this place gets better
