New headers installed!

Ok guys/gals. We have a new header company on the market for the 04-08 5.4L F150. I answered a post awhile back on another forum about test fitting new headers and I got free headers and an install out of it.

Basically a man local to me mocks up headers to cars and has a turbo company in GA build them, He has full rights to the headers and sells them when they are all test fitted. They are made from 321 Stainless steel and welded in a argon box, the welds are beautiful. Mine was hand built minus the CNC flanges.

These are a notch or two above the quality you would get with JBA headers. I don't know if long tubes are in the works yet but these shorty headers are deff better than the stock manafold. In fact my Butt-dyno felt a difference in the 0-30mph area, my truck is sluggish with 3.73's and 33" tires so anything that helps is great.

The website is http://www.lpparts.com/

Here are some pics-

Looks good.
Although I don't know if you gained any power. I know that built54 tried out aftermarket shorty headers and he said he got gains of 0HP and 0TQ...

But I mean if I got them for free then why the hell not?

i took a dyno with shortys and never got around to taking a dyno after installing longtubes but i know from the butt dyno and my tires barking at the line i gained more power. With shortys if i hit WOT from a light it would just go. after longtubes i hit WOT from a light and barked the tires. and it sounds better too Those look nice thoe and if you got um for free thats good. wish i woulda found this site before i bought headers.

Could you possibly be the first company to bring 4.6l long-tubes to the market? I'd buy em' fast.

I won't lie. The header fit fine but putting them in is a pain in the A$$. It may just be because it was a 4X4 but some of the bolts are really hard to get to to take off the stock manifolds. Putting the header back on wasn't bad the bolt are pretty much easier to put back in with the headers than taking them out with the stock manifolds.

OK. Ill answer some Q's.

Its not leaking at all, and I can deff tell a difference in throttle response and my truck used to always feel like a dog from a stop at a light. Now it doesnt take as much throttle to get moving. As for the exhaust note, I wont ever know as I have the stock setup on there now and Im going to have a shop weld in a magnaflow muffler where the stock one is in about 3 weeks. I couldnt really hear a difference but all i can hear is my rear gears whining as my rear end is being rebuilt later this week.

I know Black2002ws6 needed a truck for his 5.4Lheaders for a 03 body style F150. Anyone that lives around Tampa,FL that would like free headers and has that truck is in luck.

Also after only one day the headers turned a beautiful bright golden blue at the block and fades into silver. Very nice looking.

I dont see how those would not make more power over stock manifolds!! They look well built!
