Catalytic Converters

I have a 2003 F-150 4x4 King Ranch and i was wondering since my truck has 3 converters if i take them off and put only 2 new magnaflow converters in there will i be able to pass my emm. test and will it sound louder or deeper or let it breath better since i have true dual exhaust with 2 flowmaster mufflers and headers and an cold air intake?

Thanks,
Paul

Your truck should have 4 cats. Two on each side. The short answer is yes you should be able to add two Magnaflow high flow cats and still pass emissions unless you live in California. It will sound louder and deeper. The ones you want are part number 94306. I will be adding a set of these to my 03 after I decide on what headers to get.

1997 - 2005 have 4 cats.

You will be able to swap to two hiflow converters as long as your inspection complies with it.

94006 and 94106 will also work, they are louder than the 94306s. 94106 being their loudest of the three.

Why would I post part #s for OEM cats when he already has them and wants more sound? Ofcoarse they are aftermarket. OEM cats are not hi-flow, GM is the only ones I know that make factory hi-flow designed converters.
