but so far 335 miles and no CEL !

Thanks to everyone that contributed on this post.
you did not lose any power. If it has gotten noisier go back under and retorque them.

Actually the noise is not from a leak, is more like exhaust rushing thru the new piece of pipe (2) where the cat used to be nothing really loud, i was more concern about losing HP, or torque then any thing else.

But overall personally it was a good choice for a short term.

Thanks my friend, this stuff has really helped me!

I'm thinking of doing this mod. Should have done it from the start when I did my obx long tubes. The question has been asked, which non foulers do I need, tapered and sealed have been mentioned. 2005 5.4.

Angry ques about this mod?

I have a 02 4.6 L all stock. I had heater hose leak that took out my #4 coil. Replaced coil and plug on #4. I now get a cel p0420 about once a week. The truck sems to be running just fine. No obvious loss in performance/ mileage. No rattling noise. I am thinking about trying the gotts mod. Is this a wise thing to do or should I just bite the bullet and have the cat converter replaced? an oem converter is not cheap. Thanks in advance

I don'T know that code off the top of my head but if you're going to take all four cats off then yes do the Gotts 02 or get a custom tuner with the rear O2 shut off. If you wanna be economical then replace all four cats with two high flows. The price for scrapping the old cats well almost pay for the new ones..

I did this mod about a year ago...drivers side only as I get a P0430...worked great...

I removed it back in August to have my truck smogged (OBDII smog check), so it would pass visual...I passed...just put it back on on Monday...I was getting codes about once a week after taking it off...

My truck runs real crappy..it appears to be lean on the rt side and rich on the lt side...but no lean codes...
